The Library's subscription premium sites combine with librarian-reviewed web resources to make Topic Guides.

One Guide is a targeted collection of of links to premium content such as article databases, websites, suggested books and ebooks--all about the same topic. 


Why Should You Go There First? 

  • A Topic Guide is a quick way to find reliable information in different formats, all relating to a chosen topic.
  • Some will help you get started on a research paper or homework assignment. Each Guide contains tabs with information and links to useful resources.
  • Our Topic Guides contain resources to help you find the answer to questions you have, or even to questions you didn't know you had.
  • The Guides have been chosen, evaluated, and annotated by Arlington Public Librarians specifically for your research needs.
  • Note that featured book titles on Topic Guides are only a sample, and are not a complete list of what is found on the library shelves or in eCollections.
