About this Resource
What Are They?
The Library of Virginia purchased a subscription to the TumbleBook Library for public libraries in Virginia. (Supported in whole or in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provision of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Library of Virginia.)
How Do They Work?
- Each story comes with puzzles and games geared to ensure reading comprehension.
- There are even options to hear the stories in French or Spanish.

The TumbleBook Library includes a wide selection of stories that come to life for children through engaging animation. Easy for children to navigate, it allows children to hear stories read fluently.
Many of the TumbleBooks are now compatible with reading on the iPad.
To find iPad titles, go to "Story Books" and TAP the GREEN button for "iPad" books.
Or use the TumbleSearch feature, and type in iPad.
Using your iPad's default browser, watch the iPad TumbleBooksonline as often as you want, when you want, where you want!

Technical Information
TumbleBooks are created in flash animation. If you are having trouble entering the site or viewing any of the books or quizzes, make sure you have downloaded the latest free Adobe Flash plug-in. Download here.
