Accel5 allows you to search for content related to your subject of interest. Results may include book summaries, videos, and articles.
To search Accel5:
Enter your search terms in the search box and click the Search button.
You can limit your results by Competency using the links in the left column, or filter your results by content type using the Filter by drop down menu next to the search box.
Sort your results by Most Recent or by Title using the Sort by drop-down menu to the right of the search box.
Click a title to view a book summary, video, or article in the result list.
Accel5 users have access to book summaries, videos, and articles, featuring key insights from the top minds in business. From within these content types, there are several options available to you.
From the book summary page, you can:
Select one to five stars and click the Rate This button to add your rating of the book summary.
Click on a term (competency, author, content type, etc.) to view related Accel5 results.
Play or Download an audio version of the book summary to your computer or device.
View or Download a PDF version of the book summary to your computer or device.
Click the E-mail icon above the book summary to e-mail a link to a coworker.
Click the Printer icon above the book summary to print it out.
Click the Ribbon icon to save the book summary to your bookmarks.
From the video page, you can:
Click the Play button to watch the video.
Select one to five stars and click the Rate This button to add your rating of the video.
Click on a term (competency, author, content type, etc.) to view related Accel5 results.
Click the E-mail icon above the video to e-mail a link to a coworker.
Click the Ribbon icon to save the video to your bookmarks.
From the article page, you can:
Select one to five stars and click the Rate This button to add your rating of the article.
Click on a term (competency, author, content type, etc.) to view related Accel5 results.
View or Download a PDF version of the article to your computer or device.
Click the E-mail icon above the article to e-mail a link to a coworker.
Click the Printer icon above the article to print it out.
Click the Ribbon icon to save the article to your bookmarks.
Accel5 videos have been created to encourage self-directed, micro-learning when it's convenient for you. Content can be consumed in five minutes or less.
To browse videos in Accel5:
From the Accel5 home screen, use the left and right arrows to scroll through the Featured Videos carousel or click the View More link to view a result list of all videos.
Sort your video results by Most Recent, or Title using the drop-down menu at the top, or click on a title to view a video.
Click the Play button to view the video or select from one of the options on the left.
Use the icons in the upper-right to E-mail or save the video to your bookmarks.
To browse by competency in Accel5:
From the Accel5 home screen, make a selection from the Browse by Competency area.
From the displayed results, search within the competencies by entering a term in the search box, or select a hyperlinked filter from the column on the left.
Sort your results by Last Updated, Most Recent, or Title using the drop-down menu at the top, or click on a title to view an article, book summary, or video result.
You can click to View, Download, or Print your article or book summary, or click play to view a video.
The Activity widget displays the Book Summaries, Videos, and Articles you find in Accel5 and tracks your progress so you can return to reading them at a later time.
To use the Activity widget:
On the Home screen, click the plus-sign (+) next to Activity .
The In Progress tab displays content that you have begun to read but have not yet completed. Click the Continue button to pick up where you left off or click the expander arrow to view the details of a summary, video, or article.
The Completed tab displays content that you have finished reading or watching. You can return to a page by clicking the View button.
The Bookmarks tab displays the content you have bookmarked as well as custom folders you create for those bookmarks. Click the View link to return to a bookmarked page.
Click the expander arrow to view details about the content. You can remove bookmarks by clicking the Remove Bookmark link.
Accel5 includes a feature that allows you to bookmark content for viewing at a later time. In addition, you can create custom folders for your bookmarked content to store them based on topic.
When you've found a book summary, video, or article you would like to bookmark, click the Bookmark icon in the tools in the upper-right.
If you would like to save it to the My Bookmarks folder, enter a Note about the content (optional) and click the Save button.
OR
If you would like to create a new custom folder to save it to, click the drop-down menu and select Create New Folder.
Enter a name for your new folder in the Folder Name field and click the Save button.
Your content is saved in your new folder.
Click the plus-sign (+) next to Activity on the Accel5 Home screen.
Click the Bookmarks tab to view the My Bookmarks folder and your Custom folders. Click the title of a folder to view its contents.
You can edit a custom folder's title or remove it completely using the icons below the Bookmarks tab.
Note: When you select to delete a custom folder, all bookmarked content is also deleted. This action cannot be undone.
From the folder, click the Remove Bookmark link for the article you would like to remove in the folder.
From the summary, video, or article, click the Bookmark icon and then click the Remove Bookmark link from the resulting menu.
