With PressReader, you can read more than 7,000 of the world’s top newspapers and magazines in over 60 languages! All you need is your library card number and PIN.

After logging in with your library card or PressReader account, browse or use the search bar to find specific titles. For a more detailed search, try the Advanced Search option. This lets you filter results by title, date, language, keyword, or even author. You can also narrow your search to specific time frames.

Getting Started: Press Reader on a Smartphone or Tablet

  1. Go to the app store on your device, search for the PressReader App Logo “PressReader" app and install it.

  2. Open the app, close the pop-up (if needed), and tap Sign In at the bottom.
  3. Tap Libraries & Groups.
  4. Search to find Arlington County Public Library. Tap Sign In.
  5. Enter your library card number and PIN and tap Log In.
  6. Browse by country, language or category, scroll through the main page, or use the search box at the top.
  7. Click on a title, select the issue, then click Read or Read Now.

Getting Started: PressReader in Browser (PC or Mac)

  1. Go to the PressReader website. If you see a pop-up box, close it.
  2. Enter your Library Card Number and PIN.
  3. Browse by country, language or category, scroll through the main page, or use the search box in the top right.
  4. Click on a title, select the issue, then click Read Now.

How to Download PressReader Publications to Your Device to Read Offline

To read the publications via the PressReader app, you will need to create a PressReader account.

  1. Use an nternet browser to open the PressReader website.
  2. Login with your Arlington Public Library card number and pin
  3. Sign up for a PressReader account via the Sign In option on the PressReader homepage. Use any email address and a password of your choice to sign up.
  4. Download the  PressReader App Logo “PressReader" app to your preferred device. You can also download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.  
  5. Open the app and authorize it by signing in with your PressReader account details.
  6. Navigate to the publication you wish to download. Click the arrow to the right of the title to download it.
  7. Click Download at the bottom of the app screen to see your downloaded publications.

Most publications will remain in your collection indefinitely, unless you have chosen an auto-removal option in PressReader's settings. A small number of publishers have placed offline storage restrictions on specific publications. These will be automatically removed from your library after a period of time.
