How do I create a Kanopy Account?
- Enter your library card and create a Kanopy account (more info)
- Check your inbox for a verification email from Kanopy
- Start Streaming
How many titles can I watch each month on Kanopy?
- Each month you get 30 "tickets." Your ticket counter appears in top right of the Kanopy platform.
- Your tickets reset at midnight on the first day of each month.
- Unused tickets do not roll over into the next month.
How are play credits counted?
- Movies – 2-4 tickets (viewing period 3-4 days)
- Series and Great Courses - Variable based on run time.
- 2-4 hours of run time will be 2-3 tickets (viewing period 3 days)
- 4-6+ hours of run time will be 4-5 tickets (viewing period 7-21 days).
How can I watch Kanopy?
Stream Kanopy on your computer, phone, or tablet and/or from SmartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV and Fire Stick.
Can I download videos?
No. At this time, videos can only be streamed online.
What if my email is already associated with a Kanopy account?
Reset your password, then choose Arlington Public Library as your library. and add your library card.
