NAICS and SIC classification systems are used to collect, analyze, and publish statistical data related to U.S. businesses. Knowing the NAICS and SIC classification codes for an industry will help one easily locate industry reports and identify industry competitors.
- NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) CodeSearch and find detailed descriptions in the 2017 NAICS manual. Note: While the NAICS code has replaced the SIC code, many business research databases still use the NAICS code to classify a company or industry.
