Software Guidance for Volunteers

Volunteer Applicants:

  • To respond to an opportunity, new applicants will need to set up a profile with Galaxy Digital / Get Connected.
  • Adults (high school graduates and older) will follow the "Adult Track."
  • Youth (6th - 12th grade) will follow the "Youth Track."

Permission Levels

Galaxy Digital Roles & Permissions:

  • Site Manager: Members of POP Team who have full access to the Galaxy Digital / Get Connected site.
  • Program Manager: Staff who have responsibility for a set of volunteers (and the associated program or service). Program Managers have access to their set of volunteers' files. They can add shifts, log hours on behalf of volunteers, and add job ads, among other things. You might also see reference to Advanced Program Managers, which is the same as a Program Manager.
  • Program Facilitator: Staff or Branch email account that has read-only access to their branch volunteer schedule and contact information.
  • User: These should be primarily volunteers. Some staff may have created basic user accounts to experience a volunteer perspective. There may also be some staff accounts not fully updated.

Volunteer Check-in Kiosk QR Codes

Print your location's sign. The QR code will take your volunteers to the Volunteer Kiosk where they can log in and out of their shifts.

You can also follow the Check-in Kiosk link on your location page to bring the kiosk up at your workstation. However, following the link will log you out of your account.
