The Shop has tools and supplies for hand and machine sewing.

The following equipment is available to use:

  • Extensive design editing - Rotate, mirror-image, increase and decrease the size of your designs
  • Built-in tutorials
  • Built-in memory for importing embroidery designs with USB
  • Fast stitch speed
  • One Brother SE400 embroidery machine. This machine has 67 built in stitches, 5 lettering fonts, and 70 built-in embroidery designs for a 4” x 4” embroidery area. You can also upload your own designs to this machine.
  • One Brother 1034D Serger. This machine is designed for finishing the edges and hems of a wide range of fabrics, including formal wear, linens and stretchy fabrics, and for creating ruffles and decorative edges.
  • Singer Adjustable Dress Forms - one S/M size , one M/L size.

Tips

1. Make sure you use the serger when working with knit fabrics.

2. Use the pinking shears when cutting your fabric to discourage fraying.

3. Make sure you are using the embroidery thread for the embroidery machine and bobbin, and regular thread for the sewing machine
